Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 9/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif. UTG posts a blind of $3.
UTG (poster) checks, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, Hero calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB raises, BB calls, UTG calls, MP1 calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (10 SB) 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif, T/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="blue">(5 players)</font>
SB bets, BB calls, UTG calls, MP1 calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (7.50 BB) 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="blue">(5 players)</font>
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP1 bets, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls, UTG folds, MP1 calls.

River: (13.50 BB) 7/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="blue">(3 players)</font>
BB bets, MP1 calls, Hero raises, BB calls, MP1 calls.

Final Pot: 19.50 BB

Any pointers on how I could have played this hand better? Was the river raise appropriate?

It's an *absolutely* appropriate River Raise (a lot of times it will be no better than a Seven.)
It's a doubly appropriate Raise considering you didn't even get 3-bet. (and there was another call to trap for an extra bet)

Don't worry about the hand, I definitely think you made the right play.

Thanks John, I thought so. I'm not sure why 57 didn't re-raise. Strange hand.
