I know what I was thinking during this hand, but I'm not positive my thought process was correct. What would you do?

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: cold_cash is MP1 with J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/club.gif.

Flop: (7 SB) 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Chris_Daddy bets, cold_cash calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Chris_Daddy bets, cold_cash calls.

River: (6.50 BB) 4/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Chris_Daddy bets, cold_cash calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB
Main Pot: 8.50 BB, between Chris_Daddy and cold_cash.

(I was planning to bet the river if he checked it to me.)

For those of you not in the know, I thought he was raising light thus 3bet with a marginal hand in the SB to knock out the BB and get it heads up.

Immediately after the hand I called cash a pansy. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I would've tossed in a raise on the river, and folded to a raise.

you guys still do the 2+2 tables? post here next thursday. I'd be interested to play sometime but I always forget.

We're still playing.

offlikaprom's pvt table on Party. Couple seats open.

The password is "two", I think.

Why thief?
Do you think you will get called by a worse hand half of the time here? Which?

But yeah, the hand was pansified a bit. Looking at it it looked to me like a reraise of a "getting thin MP open raise" and I might just have capped Preflop. If not I would certainly have played it more aggressively after that.
I probably would have raised the Turn, hoping to fold overcards (and charge a flush draw).

If I raise the river, am I going to get called by a hand I can beat? Surely he will fold just overcards there, no?

I figured he was playing overcards, so I was going to just let him keep betting into me. Also, he might have put me on overcards, and have been betting a smaller pocket pair.

Chris said I should have raised the turn, and I'm thinking maybe he was right.

I think I would have raised somewhere, probably the turn.
