I've been trying my hand at the $55+5 turbo SnGs on Stars. First impressions - MUCH tougher than the $25+2, but probably still beatable. Here's a hand that I think still shows I'm in $25+2 mode. What do you think?

Not an answer, but a question: With 1500 starting stack, will a t80 raise chase out the cheese? At level one of Party's $10 (800 chips to start), I raise 75, just because the "standard" raise won't do the job. Would 100-125 work better? (A question for the big kids who are allowed to play with more chips.)

I have to think you were up against a set of jacks.

MP3 cold calls then a raises all in on your flop bet.
AJ is a slight possibility, but AA,JJ,33 are much more likely.
Gotta lay down.

With AK, do you want to 'chase out the cheese'. I'm drawing to top pair, and I want all those fools with A6 or K7 to call lots of there chips away when an A or K hits the flop. I want to build up the pot PF (so it's a decent size so players are more inclined to call), but not raise so much I get heads up.

On Partyu, getting 4-5 callers for 70 each is just dandy. That's 300-350, a good portion of a stack, and I may be able to get all-in on the flop and double up.

I would think you were up against at least AJ maybe JJ. AJ would probably be more inclined to call a raise while JJ would be more likly to reraise but either way you beat pretty bad. Almost deffinitly should have layed it down. A rule of mine is "Top pair isnt a hand to go broke on."...My 2 cents.

most times at this level guys are not going to call a raise with A6 or K7. you want to be heads up in this situation.

My mistake, didn't see the level.
