I play microlimits (.50/1) at Stars. I have about 6k hands in my Pokertracker database and so far the rake is about 1.35BB/100 hands.
I am trying to get a sense of how much relief from the rake one gets as they move out of micro into small or even mid stakes. Anyone, at any of the higher limits care to share what their number is.

Thanks.

I've got 2608 limit hands in at .5/1 on Party and PT says I've paid $102 in rake, so that's 102/(2608/100)=3.91 BB/100. HOLY CRAP! Is that right, or did I brain fart?

On the other hand, I've gotten about $107 in rake back from my affiliate. I know Party and PT calculate rake differently, but in the sense that rake is figured in a B&M, where you think of it as a dollar or two from each pot that you win as opposed to your share being 1/10 of the rake of every hand, am I essentially paying no rake? Sorry for such a runon sentence.

edit: I forgot about SNG fees in the affiliate kickback. I play a lot (as a fraction of my time) of SNGs, so a portion of that $107 is from those. So, including fees to SNGs, I guess you have to compare the $107 to $102+$60 in SNG fees = $162.

You have 260.8 sets of 100 hands, and only 102BB of rake, ergo your rack BB/100 has to be less than 1. .39 BB/100. I think you just misplaced a zero somewhere.

Are you profitable over those 2600 hands at party? The only way I could see you paying such a high rake is if you have been destroying those games and are making 10+BB/100 hands.

First, let's just say I know I haven't played enough hands to make any statements about my game, but that doesn't matter for this post, as it's not what we're after.

Right now, I'm beating PP .5/1 for 2.26 BB/100 through 2608 hands. Here are my first line of stats in PT. Let me also say that I've been playing a lot of shorthanded games and that I seek out heads-up and 3-5 handed games because I can usually do well there. These stats are a mix of these SH and full-table games. With this in mind, I don't think I'm as loose as some of these numbers might suggest. I've also been trying some things (and of coarse, my sample is small).

Total Hands: 2608
VP$IP: 25.69
VP$ f/SB: 55.95
Folded SB to steal: 71.43
Folded BB to steal: 54.17
Att to steal: 27.68
Won $ WSF %: 29.38
Amount Won: $59.01
BB/100: 2.26
Went to SD %: 35.68
Won $ at SD %: 47.90
PFR %: 8.90
Total Rake: $102.00

edit: To check out your guess that I've been up around 10 BB/100, I looked at my last 500 hands, which I've won at 11.28 BB/100. The rake per 100 hands there is $21.25 in rake per 502 hands = 4.23 BB/100.
