What did you work on for MS? I've worked for them in the past on the support end and a buddy of mine is a project manager for SQL Server.

Is it to my credit or liability that I honestly have no idea what this thread is about?

The only thing he left out was:

October 2002: Sat in traffic on SR-520 and I-405.

Actually, that could be any month.

Dude, no [censored]. It is 35 miles from my former office in Redmond to Muckleshoot in Auburn. The "quickest" route is 520 to 405 to 167. It once took me over 3 hours to get there. It routinely took more than 90 minutes. I began to take surface streets at peak hours, but that didn't help much.

That particular stretch of road during afternoon rush hour is the worst I've ever experienced.

Try dealing with traffic coming from Gig Harbor

Just think of this thread (and of course the MS tech geeks who hang around these forums!) when your MS operating system hangs, crashes, or there is a new security patch announced.

Perhaps, this too was not very enlightening

Good Points.

I did guess something about computers of course, but got lost in the jargon etc.

I am tied to MS (Microsoft) and at the mercy of its whims and faults. Just like the prisoner with the proverbial ball and chain, fettered forever, a slave to a certain narrow technology.

What, Northrup Way, to 156th, through Factoria, to Coal Creek, through Renton Highlands, to Maple Valley freeway, to SR 18, to the Muck wasn't faster? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I try to talk about the traffic and rain as much as possible to out of towners. Keeps people from moving here.
