$1-2 NL $300 max at the Borgata a couple months ago. I have about $320 in front of me, villain to my immediate right has me covered with about $400. Villain is a complete maniac -- raises 3xBB preflop about 60% of the time, when I arrived at the table he had over $1K in front of him but that has been whittled down by a couple terrible all-in calls.

I am dealt A /images/graemlins/spade.gifA /images/graemlins/heart.gif in MP. Villain limps, I raise to $10, a couple callers including villain.

Flop: J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif9 /images/graemlins/club.gif8 /images/graemlins/club.gif
Villain, first to act, bets $10, I raise to $40, others fold, villian calls.

Turn: J /images/graemlins/spade.gif
Villain checks, I bet $50, Villain raises all-in. I think for about 20 seconds and fold. Weak-tight?

Not weak enough. Too tight.

"Villian is a complete maniac" Unless this is only preflop, then check and let him be a maniac. If you were not going to call a check-raise on the turn, you should have checked behind. Then you can call any bet on the river, because you know that he would be bluffing often enough to be worth it.
