I made the mistake of jumping in to a game that was not empty because we have had less than full games recently. Stoneii indicated a similar preference for the Euro game. Ie: if there are only a few people registered, take the game that is open at the specified starting time. Which is probably ok but I didn’t tell anybody I would do that. Toro and skaboomizzy waited for the first empty game as we had done in the past, so here is the result page for:

The Other US Game:
1: Warduck (mission), still playing
2: cris09 (Archbold), still playing
3: nutsssss (Pottstown), still playing
4: Crais88 (Wayne), still playing
5: princesspp (Courtice), still playing
6: ShadowInc (Rock HIll), still playing
7: GreatONE25 (belleville), still playing
8: bmoney18 (milton),

14: Toro85 (Worcester),
15: JCrox (deforest),
16: hard14 (zandvoort),
17: Done it (Arlington),
18: croatia (chalmette),

Feedback please: How should we handle this? Wait for an empty game? Or take the one that is open if there are only a few people registered? Respond on this thread, I will take your advice, and announce next Monday.

We did discover some new 2+2ers tonight. Finally got Erdnase to come play with us. Considering his time zone, he must have tomorrow off. William was in residence again. Welcome back. And the two new guys were Eder (2+2 Eder), and trijoe (2+2 aslowjoe). Welcome to the SNG gang guys.

See you all next week.

Glad to have you join us joe. Next week's Atlantic 8PM and US 9:30PM games will be on Thursday. The Euro game at 4PM is always Tuesday.

Doc

The Euro game I believe introduced a new 2+2'er as well.
Phaedrus1313 said he had a look about after hearing us mention it in the game. He's registered with the same name and plans to play again.

Doc, I don't have a problem with giving the designated sign-on the discretion to start a game that already has 1 or 2 non-2+2ers already registered. What often happens is a game will fill at say 7:58 and just before 8:00 some non 2+2er will register and we've had to wait as long as 15 minutes for an open game.

But I would still hold to not signing on until the designated time. Next week, I will be away, so I will not be able to perform sign-on duties.

I agree about the time. The people starting games should probably have their computer clocks set to match the Stars lobby clock as i do. Mine used to be about 75 seconds faster and it got very confusing until i fixed it.

I think starting a game at the correct time, using a game that already has a few people in it would be OK as long as everybody knows that is what we are going to do. Especially since we have not been filling the games with 2+2 people. Define "a few" as less than 5?

If this sounds ok to everybody, I will put it in the game notices for next week.

Any opinions, please respond on this thread.

The only fly in the ointment Doc is when we have 2 sign ons and they don't have the ability to communicate with one another at the appointed time. Therefore, can we stipulate that the 2nd sign on will be the back-up and will only start the game if he recieves a PM from the 1st sign-on that he's not going to make it.

Otherwise we could repeat what we did on Thursday when you and I started separate games.
