hi-
I think I'd fold on the flop. With 2 people betting into you as the preflop raiser, I think they can beat a pair of aces or kings. If they can, then the pot isn't big to call 2 bets. Turn raise clearly good. River bet not good with so many players I think.

I would fold the flop.

Note that if this were a rainbow board, you should call the flop.

Can you elaborate?
Are we fearing the flush that much?

Not so much fearing the flush as sacrificing clean outs I think. Three fewer outs makes a significant impact on your odds to draw here. Also implied odds are generally reduced when flush chasers are present i.e. if they make their flush your beat, if they do not you dont collect their bets.

In simple terms, gutshot + 2 overcards with pot odds equals a call here. With a flush draw out there and heavy action, 3 of your outs may not be good.

Calling the flop here still may be good, however, given the potsize hero's being offered.

Besides, and this is small, if the flush draw out, if you hit a straight or some good pairingness you won't get paid on the river by the folding flush draws.

Thanks. Good points. Making me think about it from a different perspective.

and this is small

eh, actually it sorta matters because that equates to something like 1 to 2 BB depending on how many flush draws were out there. That's theoretically 2 hours of poker-ing!

I like this term. I am going to incorporate it in future posts.

just wanted to thank everyone for the replies...

Basically the gist of the replies was that it was close between folding and calling, but that folding was better. Thanks guys

Your play and this thread make me feel all warm and fuzzy. The flop is close but I think I'd have called as well. You are the man for raising the turn, and you are the motherfucking man for betting the river.

There a right way and a wrong way to lose with this hand, and you lost the right way. You played g00t.
