Assume new to table/no reads

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG folds, MP folds, Hero raises, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: (5 SB) 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero ......

Assuming blanks fall on turn and river how do you proceed?

Greatly depending on player. Just take to attention that he know that you very probably don't catch any part of flop (cause pair flops - reducing probability of catching your card if you don't have PP to 18-19% from 32% if flop didn't contain a pair) so he can trick. If he is agressive enough - i would call till river - if no i would fold on turn.

Against most opponents, I'd 3-bet the flop, then bet the turn if checked to, and fold if led at or raised. Of course you should check behind on the river no matter who he is.

If he 4-bet the flop, against an unknown I would fold.

That is my normal line against an unknown. However, on a capped flop I would usually take one off (and probably hope I don't hit so I don't have to call him down).
