Hey all, im vipon and have been playing poker and bugging everyone at #twoplustwo for about 4months now. I have read SOME of theory of poker but i cant step away from the game and do more reading!

BB checks, Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, MP3 checks, CO checks.

Turn: (4.25 BB) J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (8 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 bets, MP1 calls, MP2 raises, MP3 folds, CO folds, BB folds, Hero folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 folds.

River: (9.25 BB) 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
UTG+2 checks, MP2 bets, UTG+2 calls.

Final Pot: 11.25 BB

Results in white below:
UTG+2 shows 5h 5d (two pair, queens and fives).
MP2 shows 9h Jc (two pair, queens and jacks).
Outcome: MP2 wins 11.25 BB.

Is this an easy fold? As it stands I did hit. I laughed when I saw what won, I put at least one of them on the Q.

Thanks!!

Hi Vipon,

Well you have picked a passive enough table to limp UTG w/Axs, which is fine. Looks like great table selection, well done.

Once the flop is checked through and you pick up the four flush w/a gut shot, you should consider betting. If you are called, you have a lot of room to improve. Your bet will likely look like a whiffed check-raise and represent a Q here. It will also avoid the situation you ended up in.

Welcome to the forum,
Joe Tall

Bet the turn and call a raise. Be careful of Axs UTG in general, but you knew that.

So bet the turn and represent the Q? I have the right pot odds to call a raise here for the flush draw right?

If you betted out on the turn you should call a raise.

If you hit your flush your hand will be masked by that turnbet.
