SB checks, BB checks, <font color="CC3333">UTG bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, CO folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls.

Turn: (9.50BB) K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>

It's highly depend on opponents. Actually - i like your line if UTG - adequate. If he is a loose caller and can call with Q only i would check river.

Sorry i forgot UTG raised PF... Hmm. Than you should check river for sure.


If UTG was me and i play previous streets this way you will be always beaten on river. The most probable my hand would be Ad7d.

betting the river is too much - Q's call you down virtually all the time - perhaps this is a remnant of a decent ring game ? - the rest looks normal enough

After he called the flop and turn I was sure he had a queen. I'm not going to win by checking behind and the ace was the perfect card to scare him even more. What else would I 3-bet preflop he can beat?

Good reason?

That is very read-dependent. If you think you can get him to fold a Q even 10% of the time, then bet out. The pot is 11.5 BB so you are getting good odds for a bluff bet. If he is never folding it, then I give up after the Turn.
