Fascinating.

Hand 1: You are capped, player could be on any ace, flush draw...depends on reads. the showdown is bemusing; they didn't have an ace/flush draw. maybe they were being real aggressive with JJ/QQ???

I think slowing down after the flop is fine against typical opponents; i wouldn't consider folding the turn [ QUOTE ]

"unless the board pairs"

[/ QUOTE ] as players may be playing weaker aces. this is a call down situation post-flop play.

Hand 2 is a turn fold, i reckon. you've been 3-bet on the flop and ANY ace beats you. when the river comes 3rd heart and 5789 you outghta bail too. I'd give them credit for the ace and move on.

Hand 1: Consider a raise preflop

Hand 2: If I play this I would probably bring it is for a raise. Otherwise, I think I would fold. I think folding the turn is best. Unlike in hand 1, there is no obvious draw (maybe I should say reasonable) for him to be betting. You only beat a 9, 7,or pocket pair, and I doubt he 3-bets with the flop with one of those.

Hehe yeah I should've folded the turn on hand 2, I botched it up pretty bad.
