I think I played this way to passive but I'm not sure.

Turn: (5.50 BB) T/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="blue">(3 players)</font>

Way too passive.
Raise preflop, raise that flop, if 3-bet think about slowing down.
Since you called the flop I would raise the turn.

3-bet preflop and raise the flop

Raise preflop-just calling on the flop and waiting for a non-spade turn is a bit dangerous but it could be a good play in this situation. If you had a spade then just raise on the flop. Either way you have JJ which was an overpair on the flop, you have to raise at least twice somewhere along the line.
