Local NYC Club..10-20 half kill on the button with QhJs...5 handed all fold to me and I call(I know I should be rasieing here please ignore this point for this question)...sb completes bb checks

I take it down with 2 pair.

Question is did i miss a bet on the turn or was the check the correct play..Also, should I have called the raise on the flop or is 3 betting it the safe play.

Checking the turn is a really bad play here. Bet it, call a raise and call the river.
