Anybody know of any casino's around San Fran bay area, or anywhere close that spread NL cash games? I know that they have them in Reno. When I was back East the new thing at Foxwoods was the baby NL game, and I was wondering if there is any place that offered a 1-2 or 2-4 blind NL game on a regular basis

Lucky Chances in SF does a $1/2 no limit and I think a $10/20 no limit. Both seemed pretty regular. I think Bay 101 has cash no limit too, but I'm not positive. Oaks almost always does not have no limit.

Lucky Chances W/F - 10-10-20 NL, $1000 min (no max). I think they have a 1-1-2 $100 max/min the same nights.

Lucky Chances Sun - 5/5 NL, $300 min (no max).

Palace - 1-2-2 NL, $100 min (no max). T/Th/Fr/Sat - not sure if it's still going all of those nights.

The Lucky Chances baby NL game goes every night. There were five tables going Friday night. Its $1/$1/$2 blinds, $4 to go with a $100 max buy-in.

Neither of the San Jose rooms (Bay101 and Garden City) spread no-limit. I think there is some local regulation limiting the size of bets to $200.

Yeah, Bay 101 doesn't spread NL (like another poster mentioned, max bet in san jose is limited to $200). They do spread a $20-200 spreadlimit game which I've heard effectively plays like no limit though.

Not when most stacks are $2k plus.

Spread limit plays nothing like no limit. I have posted on this several times before, and you can search for it.

The $1/$1/$2 is $40 min, $100 max. I think it goes every night?

If you buy the minimum, you can play it like short-stack max-buy NL! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks all... Think I might check out the Lucky chances NL game one of these nites. For any of you who have played there though, what's the rake for the 1/1/2 NL game? Also, on a normal nite how would you rate the game as far as loose/passive, and tight/aggressive?

Could be wrong, but I believe you pay time...something like $6 bucks / half hour.

IIRC, the buy-in is 400 for this game, so it's tough to get it all-in preflop. However, I would bet that you could do pretty well buying in for 200 bucks and tying a rubber band around them & doing the hit-n-run. I may look into this sometime, but I don't think it'll be possible due to the higher buy-in.

I'd go to Hayward if I were you; the game there is tremendous and there's no max buy-in. The time is 6 bucks a half hour, for sure. Then again, I hate playing at Lucky Chances.

I played it once. It was very loose. I believe that's standard. Don't try to run people over with nothing. They'll call.

There is a time charge of $6/half hour for the LC 1/1/2 game. I've played in the game quite a bit in the past few weeks. There are a few decent regulars to watch out for and a lot of terrible players. Most games are very loose and fairly passive and most of the players are pretty straightforward. There are tons of gamblers and calling stations who call pot-sized bets with any piece of the board so bluffing/semi-bluffing is ill-advised. You will, however, get paid off well on your big hands. Play tight and bet your big hands strongly.

The stacks usually stay pretty small ($100-$400ish) but the game will occasionally get interesting. For example, the table I was at Friday night had a $2500 stack (a maniac who was catching) and there were six of us at the table who had over $500 stacks.

OK, sorry for the false information then -- I've never played in that game or even watched it, I was just passing on what I've heard other people at the tables say.

And that is why I can make so much money in that game. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The spread-limit tournaments there must play like no limit tournaments, I'd imagine. The spreads are so wide that they dwarf the average stack, probably even most of the large ones.

They spread a NL game at Cache Creek - about 1 1/2 hours from the Bay area.
