After a month off from online poker, I decided to give these oft-hyped 15/30 games a shot. I'm still feeling my way around. Here's one w/ some questionable decisions. My plan on the flop and turn was to call a bet but fold to a bet and raise.

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 raises, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG+1 3-bets, UTG+2 caps, MP1 calls, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (20 SB) Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks, MP1 checks.

Turn: (10 BB) 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks, MP1 checks.

River: (10 BB) 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif (5 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds.

Final Pot: 12 BB

Results in white below:
Hero shows 6h 6d (flush, queen high).
BB shows 9c Jd (flush, queen high).
Outcome: Hero wins 12 BB.

I'd strongly consider betting the flop there.

I agree completely with betting the flop.
Would folding preflop be a bad play?
Out of position against 1 utg caller and a early position raiser. and your not sure of BB action yet.
Assuming BB and utg call you are getting around 4-1.
If they dont you are getting 2.5-1 heads up against an utg raiser.
If you're pretty sure he has weak preflop raising standards and probly no pair, then what about 3 betting and isolating? Got some dead money in the pot, and you might could manufacture a small +ev situation.
Just wondering if anyone has any insight. thanks.

The second time yes. The first time, I'm not sure. That was part of the reason I posted this. From the lack of comment, seems like most call as well.

I think the pre-flop is close but fine, mostly because you play g00t post flop and it's a 2/3 blind structure. In a 1/2 blind structure I'd lean a bit more towards folding.

I think folding preflop is v. bad.

Ahhh, yea I was thinking about 20-40 blinds. Yea that makes the call better, and makes my odds different.

It also depends on how strong of a player you are. With small pairs its often hard to know where you're at with so many over cards.

What would betting the flop accomplish. I do not think anyone with bigger hearts would fold.

8s,x 9s,x Ts,x Js,x. You aren't looking at the size of the pot or that UTG is going to act after you apart from one player.

Why?. In the SB?. In the button, I'd understand, maybe...

Why don't you bet on the turn?.

The reason you bet is so Mr limpreraise and raise your bet and kick out some higher flush cards to increase your chances of winning this big pot.

The reason you don't bet the turn is because 1. Most better hands will raise and you have to go to showdown 2. You don't fear any river cards 3. You induce calls from other hands on the river. 4. You aren't missing a ton of value. Advanced Hold em gives the example with a hand similar to this.

I like betting the flop if you think you can get heads up with the preflop capper and/or if you think you are unlikely to get raised.

If there's any chance you get everyone to fold, Olé!!!!
