250 SNGs, time to move up?

I'm curious what people have found as the main difference (if any) between the $10 and the $5 10 player SNG at UB?

I'm thinking of moving up from $5 to the $10 (I play 3 tables at once if it makes a difference). In the $5 I've played 250 SNG and have finished:

37/33/29/34/30/27/23/13/12/12 which works out to ITM% of 40 and ROI of 24%.

What do people predict my ITM% and ROI would be at $10?

Agree. Moved up to $10 last month. Been paying off well. Tracked about 60 SNG's at $5 before I moved to $10.

I agree as well. I just made the switch to Party from UB and have found it much easier. The $5.50 on UB are harder than the $10 on Party. Ring games are ridiculous too, at least at lower limits. Be forewarned, you will take quite a few bad beats because people will play anything.

Well I only have money on UB right now, so I tried moving up to the $10 SNG.

There is a significant difference in ability between the $5 and $10 SNG at UB based on my first 25 $10 SNG. I've had more bad beats then usual, but I've also seen more good players. Right now I'm ITM only 25% and my ROI is -20%. To early to say if I am, or am not, a winning player at this level; but, the players definitely are better.

I would definitely advise you not to move up to the $10 sit and goes. I don't know if you checked out my 100 sit and go thread, but I just finished 100 at the $20 level and have basically the same ROI as you do at the $5 level. If you move up that number will only go down. For example, a few months ago I played about 75 $10 sit and goes, and had a much higher ROI than I just finished with at the $20 level. My ITM was 56% when I was playing $10 sit and goes, and went down to 45% when I played at the $20 level. I would say stay at the $5 tables until you can destroy them. Play tight and maximize your wins when you are going to take down a pot. I would say at least get your ITM finishes to 50% before you even considered a move up. At the $5 level if you work at it that shouldn't be a problem, because many players at that level are just learning the game. Let me know if you have any questions, I'd be glad to help.

I'm playing the $10 SNGs at UB right now, because of the promotion, and it's not fun. Through 20, I'm up about $30, and only because I grabbed a first and a second in my last two.

Players are very tight, so sometimes I'll find a table that I can absolutely run over when it gets shorthanded, but it makes it difficult to take out players late, and I find that I bubble a lot. I think the UB promotion may have brought a lot of good players to the $10 SNGs (compared to the regular fish), and I'm out of here. Not sure if I'll even bother clearing the bonus, I'll just move to Party.
