Ok, I will be venturing out to the sin city heat in just over a week, and I have seen a ton of posts recommending people where to play, where the softer low limit games are etc... and there seem to be so many. On my scorecard, almost every casino which has a card room has a decent game (which very well might be true).

What I think might be better, is for those of you with experience to tell me (and others) where NOT to play.

That might make it a little easier for me in figuring out where to go and most importantly, maybe where to shy away from. Thx much.

Low-limit games during the day are often populated by retiree rocks. Get too many in the game and you will start seeing annoyingly little action.

I have definitely caught that drift, therefore, I have planned to play the majority of my poker in the evenings, and save the mornings and afternoons for BJ, Baccarat and the pool.

Oh, and I most definitely will get the Strawberry Smoothie at the Bellagio! ;

The strawberry smoothie at Bellagio is a fine choice. I just wish mine didn't cost me $50. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

There is no absence of action in the afternoon games.

For rake reasons, I suggest low-limit player avoid the Mirage and Bellagio.

True, but those old farts just irritate me. They got none of my money the two afternoons I played at Mirage, but they did get money from a number of fish at the table, leaving less for me.

If you see a guy on the corner with a little table, flipping three cards back and forth, and you are supposed to find the red queen, Don't Play. The game is rigged.

I found the game at Luxor to be quite stiff and boring, with some real loonies playing. I hit their $25 tournies a couple of times and played cash while waiting for it to start, and it just didn't feel like a good game.

Especially if a lot of the players are wearing convention name tags.
