I voted no. But it's a case by case thing. I don't know that tacky is the right word. Maybe you mean inappropriate?

My brother and I were groomsmen/best men in my dad's second wedding. Similar situation, albeit not a family friend he was marrying. I didn't feel it was tacky, but that was just my personal view.

I guess I see it as disrespectful to your child's mother to have him/her stand-up in the wedding to the mistress (or the individual who helped precipitate)the divorce. That, to me, is tacky.
