The Golden Nugget

Just got back from Vegas where my girlfriend and I tried something different from our regular Bellagio-Mandalay Bay-Palms type of weekend and checked out the "new" Golden Nugget. Well, don't let the slick TV show fool ya, it's still crap. After one night we moved to the Westin just off the strip and had a great time. The poker room at the Nugget is probably the worst I've seen. Too few players, inexperienced dealers, boring room. One hand there were 4 players at the river - one bets, two fold, the fourth puts his chips out and says to the first player who bet, "wanna split it?" And the floor man let them! I was outta there so quick you could see skid marks.

Anyway...the "Freemont Experience" is still the ghetto of Vegas. Stick to the Strip. Trust me.

no, Mat Dusk wasn't there...some other guy was playing...from what I've watched of the show, I'd be very surprised if he hadn't been fired already!

And another opinion: that show just plain sucks. I'm enjoying "American Casino" on the Discovery Channel much more.

What!?! I love that show, it has everything from hot slutty hookers to rich ppl i can live my life through and even a couple of parents who promised their kids a trip to dysneland and then lost all the vacation money using the stupidest roullete system ive ever seen.
