at my casino, the jackpot was up over $55,000.

I'm in the SB and I have 66 so I call. BB raises so I call the raise.

Flop is J76. I check but raise when the bet comes back to me. BB re-raises so I just call.

Turn is 6. I check and just call the BB's bet.

River is 7. Me and the BB are firing back and forth until he runs out of chips. Before we turn over our hands I say, "man, I hope you have those 7's."

He did.

I won slightly under $28000. He won slightly under $14000. The others won $1740 a piece.

Awesome!!

Talk about something that will take the sting out of a lost pot /images/graemlins/smile.gif

That is awesome!

I was the winner of a bad beat hand, 4 kings and the loser rivered his ace for aces full, but the guy was all in after the 4th river raise and the jackpot was only 1100 for my share, not bad though.

I hope that got you even for the session... /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

tipped a grand for just dealing cards, FCK that! i'd tip $500 and then tell everyone who disagreed to go to hell.

You're generous. I'd toss him a blackbird and tell him to take the rest of the day off.

Nice hand - nothing like having the nuts even when you really don't. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

really? wow, i'm generous at tipping, i played 5 1/2 hours last night and tipped $1 only 3 times, generous is the last thing i'd be expected to be called.

$500 of $28,000 is change

It's truly sad that most poker players bitch, complain and want efficient dealers, but won't help them make a good living so the good ones stay in the business. Of course, it's the same players that donate to me on a regular basis so I won't hold it against them.

i'm happy to directly tip good dealers. in missouri, for example, all tips are shared.

as a dealer myself Poker players are the biggest pain in the asses. I rather have people who are just out to have fun at my table than some wannabe rounder who thinks he's getting killed on the rake when he really is getting killed on playing bad cards.
