They get an new release (cardroom) soon.

In fact, the new room is already up and running. Planet Poker and Planet Poker2 are being run side by side. Last time I checked Planet Poker2 did not have tourneys yet, so those were (are) still held on the original software. Although it's still being developed, Planet Poker2 already has real money games. Very low traffic though.
