UB 6-max down to three. All players have 2000. Blinds 75/150. Hero in SB with Q/images/graemlins/spade.gifQ/images/graemlins/diamond.gif. Button limps I make it 750 to go. BB folds and button goes all-in. Does this scream AA? I find this to be a common way to play AA late in the game. Easy fold?

Nah he doesn't have AA. He has anything from 99-AQo.

I think his holdings go even lower than that without a good read.

Easy call, sometimes he will have AA,KK, mostly he wont..

I would push this preflop on the bubble every time.

How was the opponent playing? Was he stealing a lot? What type of hands was he showing down? Good player? poor player? tricky?

What was your table image? Did he have a read on you?

Without answers to these, I can't really advise other than to say QQ on the bubble is an easy all-in preflop for me.

Push pre-flop. Do you really want someone with an ace to call?

Yeah I thought about that after I went to bed. Most likely he has 22-88 because he didn't raise PF and I don't put this opponent on being "tricky" and trying to limp re-raise aces.

The player on the button actually saw very little flops all tourney and had showed only strong hands, pretty straight forward tight/aggressive player. The texture of the bubble play on UB feels like everyone is playing for their last $5. Anyways, I think I should have pushed with the blinds so high...He sensed weakness and it paid off for him. He showed 88 after I showed my queens. /images/graemlins/mad.gif
