Check out the front page of espn.com. Who woulda thought? What's more interesting is this article
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/040617
The author hasn't studied the game as in depth as your average 2+2er but he brings up an interesting point. When many of the top pros go out on day one and a guy with a couple of weeks of experience makes it to day 3, what does that say about role of luck in a tournement like WSOP?
Tournements, by nature, lend themselves more toward the luck side than a ring game. Last year Moneymaker won it and he doesn't get much respect at all, same with Varkony. Is winning the WSOP really that special anymore or is it just like winning any other big tournement?
