Does anyone know of a site or list somewhere with up to date poker rates for rooms in Las Vegas, Tahoe, and/or Reno? I'm not familiar with the process of getting rooms at a lower rate for playing poker (nor ever played poker in a casino), so was hoping to see what people can get and how it works.

Thanks

I have a feeling that there is no such site, although I can't be 100% certain. Your best bet is research the casinos with poker rooms in LV, and pick out a few you would like to stay at, also note their standard rate for the days you would like to be there. Then call each one and ask the main operator to transfer you to the poker room, from there ask for the rates and the required hours to obtain them.

i know this is more work than you bargined for but its the best way to get accurate and detailed information in this case.

Best thing to do is call the poker room and ask.

I can tell you, for sure, that Bellagio is 6 hrs/day and they knock a miniscule $30 off your daily room rate.

This is dependent on when you stay. When I stayed at the Bellagio (during the final week of WSOP) the poker rate I got was $129 weekday and $199 weekend, while the going rate was $199 weekday and $399 weekend (ridiculously high). Though still quite expensive, made it doable.

You are correct, Mano. I was referring to the rate they gave me last week for an upgraded room.

It's always best to call the room direct, rather than listen to guys like me. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Should also point out that many strip places like the Flamingo and Luxor have cheap rooms often under $70 a night (Luxor I've seen get as low as $39-ish). Both places do have low-limit card rooms, and if you aren't too picky about where you are staying, both offer pretty simple access to other places with card rooms, too.
