why buy when you can get them for free?

Hey there,

Just a little piece of advice. You might get some better responses in the Home Poker Forum or might be able to search some old posts in there.

Hope this helps.

I bought my original 9g set, and later my 11.5g set from the same place, www.5stardeal.com. (http://www.5stardeal.com.) They have great prices, and I've had 0 problems with them. I recommended them to other friends and they've all had 0 problems as well. I just wish I would have waited on my 11.5g purchase, since now they sell the 13g ones. Grr.

because getting them "for free" all but ensures you'll never get a rake kickback

I asked for a sample set from pokerchipmart.com.

After holding them in my hands, I'm going to save the extra $$ and get their clay chips. The difference in sound and feel over the composite chips is just crazy.

And of course they don't make that "clink" sound when they clap together like the 11.5g ones.
